It’s scary!

Efforts to make homes more fireproof, and people more aware of fires, have been incredibly successful in the U.S. House fires are now vanishingly rare, meaning that you could go your whole life without ever seeing one.

And that’s probably for the best, because as this video shows, they’re frightening as all hell.

This video was captured by firefighters in Santiago, Chile. While the house was lost in the end, thanks to the efforts of the firefighters, no one was injured.

Thank goodness there are people out there with the balls to be in this line of work!
